Expected Inventory & Expected Report

Purchases entered, but not yet received are "expected" inventory

What is Expected Inventory?

Unreceived purchases make the "expected" inventory go up. The general idea here: you ordered some inventory and it's expected to show up soon.

Where can I see Expected Inventory?

  1. Inventory Main View: there's a column displaying expected inventory values for each item
  2. Expected Report (Receive > Expected): there's a report showing all inventory expected to arrive today (or if you modify the date, for some other date or date range)
  3. Live Inventory Page (Inventory > Live Inventory): inventory over time is being shown - so expected, on hand, and allocated inventory are all being calculated to show how much inventory you will have several days into the future
  4. Item Detail Page (Inventory > click on an item): expected inventory is displayed on the item detail and any purchases that use the order are displayed as well.
  5. New Purchases/Sales Orders: When you create new purchase/sales records you can see how much inventory is expected, on hand, or already allocated to other sales orders.
