Buying and Receiving in One-Step (in the field)

You can create a purchase and receive inventory in one step using the iOS app - this is ideal for buying inventory out in the field (on the road, on the dock/pier, etc.)

Using the BlueTrace Distributor iOS App on an iPhone or iPad, you can receive inventory and create a purchase on-the-fly if you don't know what inventory you'll buy ahead of time. 

Steps for Receiving and Buying in One-Step "In the field"

1. From the Receive area of the app, tap New
2. Select the item you'd like to receive
3. Enter the quantity
4. Select the vendor
5. Switch ON "Create Purchase"
6. Enter a price (this price can also be pre-filled if you setup buying prices in the web application)
7. Enter any information you'd like stored on this lot for landings, HACCP, or regulatory purposes
8. Save the lot

Multiple items from one vendor

1. For each item you buy from the vendor, repeat the steps above to create lots (these will make inventory go up)
2. For each, make sure "Create Purchase" is switched on
3. Once you've received everything, you can Print a Receipt, which will summarize everything on the Purchase for this vendor today.

Receipt Example:

• Your company information will appear at the top - it can also include your full address and any permit #s
• Vendor name, the receive date/time, total price, and a spot for a signature - we can also add in any special details about the transaction like a VTR# 
• The totals for items purchases and prices are displayed
• We can also add disclaimer text to the bottom of the print out
